September has arrived and I’m seeing a hint of Fall at my weddings and Jeannine and Michael showed a bit of the coming season in their decor and the wine colored dresses of the wedding party as well.
The groom is a car demolition derby aficionado so that also played a role in the couple’s wedding with a first look in the grandstand of the track at Lake County Fairgrounds and the ceremony at the nearby gazebo.
The day started with getting ready of both sides with their children very involved and lead up to the big reveal overlooking the car track.

Michael waited for Jeannine in the third row of the grandstand where family would usually be to watch him race. The wedding party looked on from the top row. After a few images of the couple overlooking the track, we walked around the fairgrounds taking pictures until ceremony time.

Jeannine was enamored by the old covered bridge at the grounds so we started there with photos and eventually making our way toward the lake. Of course we had to get the guys onto the track to show off their racing numbers.

The ceremony was very much a family gathering and saw the themes of Autumn and motorsports making an appearance with the ring bearer revving his way to the ceremony site where leaves hung inside the gazebo where the couple would be wed.

After the ceremony and family group pictures, we stopped by the downtown Crown Point square for some pictures and then it was onto Andorra Banquets for the reception.
