Misbeehavin' Meads in downtown Valparaiso features handcrafted Mead, or “honey wine,” in a variety of flavors. It is one of Janell and Ryan’s favorite local businesses.

There was no better place to start for their romantic date night engagement session.

We met up with Pappy, the couple's adorable dog, for a portrait and then made our way around the downtown Valparaiso square for engagement photos.

Our goal was to take a few sunset photos, but some clouds got in the way. However, while walking past the Library Gardens off the Square in downtown Valparaiso, I saw the amber string lights and orange hues from the sky attempting to sneak through.

I encouraged Janell and Ryan to stick with me through the twilight hour for some romantic early evening engagement photos. These were a great way to bring date night to a close.
