I photographed Adam and Alex’s Chicago wedding this past Saturday at the historic Lang House in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
Lang House is a unique Chicago wedding venue known as an American Foursquare mansion and is rich with architectural details in both the prairie style and the art deco period. The Frank Lloyd Wright Emil House is next door, and the Lake Michigan beach is a one-minute walk around the block.
Alex (whom you may recognize in my portfolio from a bridal portrait session) got ready on the third floor, with the ceremony and dinner/reception on the main floor.
Clothing for the bride and groom came courtesy of fashion designer Borris Powell

Ceremony
The ceremony saw Alex descending the stairs as Adam awaited in the main room with close friends and family. Many tears were shed during the vows before the fireplace before a first kiss and champagne toasts signaled it was time to celebrate.
Portraits
In addition to wedding portraits inside the architectural wonder of Lang House, we also strolled outside for a few images and Lake Michigan.
Dinner / Celebration
In addition to Chicago fashion designer Boriss Powell, an exquisite meal was served by a designer chef as family and friends took turns telling stories of the bride and groom. It was the perfect ending to a day celebration with family, tasteful elegance, and sweet, beautiful love.
