It was a lovely late Summer day for Nancy and Corey’s wedding ceremony at St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso, Indiana, followed by a reception in Chesterton, Indiana, at Sand Creek Country Club.

It was another action packed year of wedding photography in Northwest Indiana, Chicago and southwest Michigan. There are a TON of images from February weddings all the way through November so let’s get started.
I had two winter weddings in 2019 with Sarah + Robert and Erin + Mason. Yep, we had some snow and even the Village People showed up to rock the reception.
Early Spring saw torrential rain almost every single weekend. Like the postal service though, we deliver in ice, rain, sleet or snow. For Beth + Chad we had that all in one day!! Cherise + Thomas had some sunshine for their big day at Sand Creek Country Club and for a bridal portrait session in Chicago we had to dodge some puddles for sure.
The wet Spring continued for Breana + Kevin’s Chicago wedding and Sarah + Billy’s hometown wedding in Crown Point, Indiana. Both had wonderful church ceremonies.
The month of May was very busy with Northwest Indiana weddings of Tessa + Luis as well as Dan + Tea.
June saw Gabby + Matt at Briar Ridge Country Club and Becky + Chuck along with the summer weddings of Rachel + Brandon at County Line Orchard and back to the Crown Point Courthouse with Robyn and Stacey.
July saw me at the height of summer and back at County Line Orchard for an outdoor wedding with Emily + Tyler and Whiting Lakefront Park for the beach wedding of Maureen + Carlos.
July also saw me heading east to Heston Hill wedding venue for Maggie + Eric and staying close to home for Cynthia + Zachary at Avalon Manor wedding venue.
August began with a themed wedding from Isela + Thomas and Jackie + Kevin for the first time a bride has ever arrived via boat at Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake, Indiana.
Mid to late August saw the 4 day Indian wedding of Molly + Ahsan in Chicago and the church wedding of Brie + Ryan at St. Michael’s Parish and reception at Sand Creek golf course.
Early September saw the first of two weddings at Four Corners Winery with Holly + Ethan and then it was onto The Allure in Laporte, Indiana with Mary + Jeff.
I’d always wanted to photograph at the Naperville Riverwalk in Illinois for a wedding and did just that with Vilda + Brandon and weddings at Aberdeen Manor are some of the most elegant and the nuptials of Kristen and Zach did not disappoint.
September is still the most popular month for weddings and I was back at Avalon Manor for Violet + Jeremiah and an epic wedding with Jordan + Matt at Centennial Park where it snowed on the dance floor.
October is football season and we celebrated that with Francesca + Zane at Wicker Park and also wine tasting season at Four Corners Winery with Ammie + Matt.
Reema + Corey donned two wedding dresses and two suits at their Meyer’s Castle wedding in Dyer, Indiana and Mary + Ben braved the rain at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster, Indiana for their late Fall weddings.
I certainly can’t forget about Annie + Michael at Aberdeen Manor as well as the 2019 wedding season finale of Kim + Dustin at Fair Oaks Farmhouse.
I’m looking forward to next year’s weddings in Northwest Indiana, Chicago and Michigan. To inquire about wedding photography for your big day, please do fill out the Contact Form on this website and set up a meeting so I can show you more of my work. Happy New Year to all!!
Military Wedding At Aberdeen Manor In Valparaiso
Andrea and Bart were married 2 years ago at the Porter County Courthouse in Valparaiso, Indiana. The groom was soon stationed in Colorado by the Army and this past Friday they finally had the chance to bring the party back to Aberdeen Manor and celebrate with friends and family.
Our day started at Salon Diva, also in Valparaiso, where I captured bridal prep, including flower girl Abby's wedding day coloring book.
Our next stop was the beautiful Ogden Gardens which had taken on quite the Fall tone in color. I photographed the bride and bridesmaids while second photographer Doug was with the groom and his guys at the church.
The Catholic wedding ceremony took place at St. Paul Catholic Church with it's wonderful architecture. The bride came down the aisle with her Dad to say "I Still Do" with her husband Bart.
Andrea and Bart had a snapshot from their wedding at the Porter County Courthouse from 2 years ago so they wanted to pose with it there. So off to the downtown Valparaiso Square we went.
The wedding reception at Aberdeen Manor was a celebration of Andrea and Bart's two year old marriage, but it also a celebration of something else which I will get to in a moment...
At the tail end of toasts, the groom took the microphone and made the surprise announcement that the couple were expecting a baby.....

Summer Wedding At The Pavilion At Sandy Pines
We had a threat of rain (maybe it did rain a little) at Ashley and Kevin's summer wedding at The Pavilion at Sandy Pines in Demotte, Indiana. However, with my weather controlling skills that came with my camera kits I was able to send the clouds away and soon we saw sun peaking through the blue skies of the golf course!! :)
The bridal suite at Sandy Pines is simply spectacular as was the "bridal squad" who I spent the morning with as they readied for the big day. Second photographer Kerrie was up in the second floor man cave as the groomsmen prepped for the big day.
The bridal suite has a full on kitchen where fruit and juice were served as well as a gigantic Subway sandwich for lunch. I had a lot of laughs with everyone as I roamed the building capturing moments and detail shots.
I did some quick shots of the girls while Kerrie photographed the guys and then we were off to St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso.
It was a wonderful moment as the crowd rose and Ashley and her Dad entered the church. A "groom to be" with hid Daddy holding him up seemed quite interested as Ashley and Kevin lit candles together at the altar. The entire congregation lined up outside of St. Paul Catholic Church as colorful bubbles filled the air. Even the bride and groom got into the act.
We took family photos inside the church and then we were off again to Sandy Pines where we had fun with the wedding party and I took Ashley and Kevin around the grounds of the golf course for their couples shots.
Kevin said he was ready to dip his bride and he did not disappoint. Soon it would be time for introductions and dinner underneath the pavilion.
The reception started off with the father of the bride teaching the groom a new language - "Ashley speak" as the toast became more of a roast to his "sweet pea". It was a lot of fun as was dancing, a sorority photo and more.
