Rhett and Laura had a wonderful Spring day for their wedding at the elegant Allure On The Lake in Chesterton, Indiana. This May wedding not only saw lovely temperatures, but the decor, flowers, and more all pointed toward this beautiful season.
We started with bridal prep inside the adjacent suite, which is its own building, while the groom and his crew got ready at the Indian Boundary Inn next door.
Getting Ready
First looks or “reveals” can be exciting, fun, and cherished moments as a couple sees each other for the first time on the wedding day. They also allow for a non-rushed, stress-free day where they can enjoy their own wedding and mingle with friends and family more.
Laura and Rhett had their first look on the pathway leading toward the lake. After they had their moment, we went about the property, taking photos of the two of them, then the wedding party and family groups.
First Look
Portraits
The Allure On The Lake has a striking ceremony room with signature chandeliers and stenciled windows that let in natural light. Guests are seated in elegant chairs in two rows, with the wedding party and couple at the front of the room as the center of attention.
Ceremony
Guests mingle inside the ballroom and outside on the deck for cocktail hour and the reception.
Dancers of all ages were able to fight for their right to party into the night.
I’m always happy to take my Allure on the Lake wedding clients to the back deck for romantic photos during twilight.
