Amanda and Josh will be getting married during the height of summer on July 13th. For their engagement photo however, it was anything but warm temperatures!! They toughed it out for me during their romantic winter engagement photo session and did a fantastic job. I know how difficult it must have been, especially when the sun went down and the wind picked up. This set is merely a sneak peek, but I had to share a few. Stay tuned here and on Facebook for more.
One of my favorites of the day is the one above (click images to enlarge) as they stood down by the icy cold pond. It was close to nightfall with the trees and and twilight reflecting off the water. I love doing silhouettes like this as I they make really unique engagement photos. Amanda is having blue at her wedding and this image will look great displayed in the lobby of the Halls of St. George later this year as her and Josh's guest arrive to celebrate.
We were out in the woods in Illinois for a reason as this is the area where Josh works. He's a railroad guy and he wanted to incorporate that into the photos, but yet still have romantic images for Amanda. I think we succeeded....
I'm really glad we did these winter engagement photos. Even though my fingers were going numb while changing camera settings, it was worth it as we got something really unique for a wonderful couple. This is only a sneak peek, so check back real soon for another walk in the woods with Amanda and Josh.
