Joanne and Derek’s May wedding at The Halls of St. George in Schererville, Indiana was a family affair in every way. Their daughters and nephew was the wedding party and they all chipped in to help each other out during bridal prep and groom prep.
The on and off again rain kept us on our toes the entire day and ultimately the outdoor wedding ceremony was moved inside. However, all of that rain brought some incredibly rich color to their wedding portraits at nearby Oak Ridge Prairie Park.
Joanne’s lovely dress is from Something Blue Bridal Boutique and hair is courtesy of Identity Hair Design.

The ceremony featured the entire family once again as they poured sand together and the newlyweds lit a unity candle. Soon the bride and groom were whisked away by Epic Limo to a nearby park for some romantic, post rainfall wedding photos.

The reception featured some really nice uplighting and music from Music and Motion and a lovely cake from Cakes By Karen.
The children (and myself) quite enjoyed the balloons on hand as well.

The bride and groom had the dance floor all to themselves for the first dance. Then the volume ticked up, shoes got kicked off and more balloons filled the space. Film of the entire event was being done by 505 Media Company.
