Wedding At Southlake Mall? A non-traditional wedding venue.

Here is a nice little video that I stumbled across of a couple getting married at their local shopping mall.  Could this happen here at Southlake Mall in Hobart?  Perhaps, with their permission.  The video appears to be some sort of "flash mob" gag at first, but midway through Ain't No Mountain High Enough, the bride and groom finally enter and a runway is laid down and the officiator appears, etc.  It's all very slick.

It just goes to show that things don;t always have to be traditional.  There are no set in stone rules for your wedding day.  Anyway, back to photo editing for Anthony and Beth's wedding for me.

Enjoy the video....

The iPad Proposal

Here's a bit of fun for an early Spring Sunday....

This image and article come via TechCrunch.  Click the link to view the original article.

I have Apple's iPad in my sights as I think it's a very versatile device with a whole bunch of uses for a photographer - portfolio, cash/credit register, order form, etc.  Apparently a reader from the TechCrunch blog felt the same way.

His unique use of the iPad was a marriage proposal.  He simply created a slideshow of photographs, slipped headphones onto his girlfriend and played the images along with music.  The last slide contained his proposal.  She said yes!!

Hey, do you think these guys need a wedding photographer?!!!

Bride Runs Over Grooms Ex With Car

Okay folks, if you do this at your wedding - I WILL take photographs of it!!  Enjoy...

HYANNIS, Mass. (AP) - A newlywed Massachusetts couple spent their wedding night in separate jail cells after police said the bride tried to run over an old flame of the groom.

Police say 22-year-old Hyannis resident Marissa Ann Putignano-Keene tried Monday to run over the other woman and the woman's son in a parking lot. The intended victim later told police that she had previously been in an intimate relationship with the groom.

Police say the couple got married at Barnstable Town Hall and split a bottle of Champagne afterward.

The bride was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Her husband, 37-year-old Timothy Keene, was riding in the car with her and was charged with disorderly conduct.

Both were released Tuesday. It was unclear if either had hired an attorney.
