Support the Locals: Custom Designed Wedding Invitations

I've been having conversations recently with local designer Teresa Zorzi who owns TZESIGNS Design Studio.  She specializes in crafting custom wedding invitations, menus, place cards, programs, stationary and more.  The more we exchanged emails the more I could see how driven she is.  That tells me she'd do a great job for you folks.  I hopped over to her Facebook Page and saw some very elegant designs.  You should definitely check her out for your wedding needs.  No need to go generic when you can have your very own custom design from a local pro.

Here are a few other things I learned about Teresa:

  • She loves to give a face and feel to an event or special time in someone's life.
  • She helps people celebrate the joys in life.
  • She worked under a well renowned calligrapher in Chicago.

I'm sure all of you have The Brides Room bookmarked, right?!!!  TZESIGNS Design Studio will now have a place under local vendors.  Give her a call and let her know you found her through Region Weddings.  708-829-5814

Wedding Dresses at Goodwill

I'm a big fan of Goodwill Stores.  I have been donating to them for years, but became a customer when I opened up my photo studio.  I get props there from time to time and it has worked out great. Whenever I feel my existing props are getting stale or overused, I pop on over to Goodwill and usually always find something cool.  When I photograph little kids, I sometime bring out a whole collection of wool hats I got from the Crown Point Goodwill Store.  Nothing like babies in big, oversized winter hats!!

I came across this article from the Boston Globe about a trend of buying wedding dresses from resale shops.  I hadn't thought of that before.  Imagine the savings!!  Give it a read and view the video.  Let me know what you think.

All You Need Is Love

Happy Valentine's Day to all my brides and grooms - past, present and future!!  The Bride's Room has a list of some great music and movies for some stay at home dates.

Here are some iTunes links for a few more:

Breakfast at Tiffany's - An Oscar winning classic starring Audrey Hepburn as a party girl determined to marry her next door neighbor.

Garden State - A modern love story starring Zach Braff, whose character returns home for a funeral and reconnects with past friends.

A Sensual World by Kate Bush - Music for when (ahem) the movie ends.

1972 by Josh Rouse - A retro and mellow singer songwriter outing that feels like the year it's title invokes.  Great Sunday afternoon music.

Stay close and stay warm!!
