The Allure On The Lake wedding venue is located in Chesterton, Indiana, part of the Duneland area of Northwest Indiana, with a picturesque downtown area and proximity to beaches and nature park Coffee Creek.

You won’t see the modern rustic venue at first glance. You must look past the golden arches and drive behind the nearby hotel and retail stores, and you will then see the elegant ballroom overlooking a lake and a forest of tall trees.

Allure On The Lake - Outdoor Portraits

As a photographer, I like the path that leads from the venue to the lake area, which gives me many opportunities for beautiful and artistic wedding photos. The back deck of the venue also doubles as a great spot for wedding photos and gives guests a great outdoor spot to socialize.

Allure On The Lake - Bridal Prep

There is a bridal suite on the premises, its very own building. It is footsteps away from the main ballroom and makes coordinating the ceremony and reception setup easy while still having a private area for HMUAs to do bridal prep.

One of the wedding traditions at The Allure On The Lake is each couple locking their engraved lock upon the back gate and then throwing the key into the lake while making a wish.

Allure On The Lake - Ceremony Room

The ceremony room has the same handcrafted lights as the ballroom for a hint of glam amongst the modern rustic aesthetic. The ceremony room also doubles as a great area for wedding portraits as well.

Allure On The Lake - Reception Ballroom

The main reception ballroom has spectacular light fixtures, two bars, and an outdoor deck. The windows have unique designs on them with a lake view.

I love taking first dance photos at this Northwest Indiana wedding venue and using the lights to frame the shots. Most of my clients request an outdoor night portrait on the back deck.
