Beautiful, Modern and Candid Wedding Photography
Wedding Photographer Superpowers
My “superpower” (haha - I have no superhero cape) is that I’ve been listening to my clients for over a decade.
Couples want beautiful and candid wedding photos. However, they do NOT want their big day to be a non-stop photo session. They want to enjoy time with friends and family and get great pictures.
Beautiful, modern, and candid are best for wedding photography. It’s essential to know how to pose, too, and when I do so, I want it to be natural-looking and convey togetherness. I believe in efficiency as well.
Below is the breakdown of my “wedding day philosophy.”
Beautiful
Beauty comes in all forms on wedding days. It might be the gorgeous dress hanging in the window, the flower girl's smile, or the bouquet's details. It might be the sunset shot above or the wintery snow image below.
Modern
Some of my bridal portraits do not have anyone looking at the camera. Some are in bold colors, and others have a vintage tone. I think modern wedding photography is not being boxed into one thing. The attempt should always be made to find fresh ways of expression.
Candid
One of the reasons why I enjoy the bridal prep coverage is getting to know everyone’s personalities, interacting a bit, and finding out who my subjects are. Candid wedding photography isn’t blasting away with a camera hoping to capture moments. It’s more about setting the scene where those moments can naturally occur.
Efficient
On paper, the wedding day looks long and filled with time for friends, family, socializing, dancing, and having fun. Sadly, in reality, it goes by very quickly. My goal is to get your pictures done so that your reception is something you are fully present for. This doesn’t mean a rush job, but it does mean exercising my experience to achieve our photographic goals efficiently. Perhaps we can step outside for a sunset or blue hour photo, but please do have fun at your wedding. I realize it should not be a 10-hour, non-stop photo shoot for you.
