2023 Year In Review By Northwest Indiana Photographer Region Weddings
As the sun sets on the 2023 wedding season, I’m looking back at all the weddings I photographed (and filmed) this past year. I’ve visited many venues in Northwest Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan, some very familiar and some brand new to me.
For brevity, I’ve decided to post only a few images. Rest assured, I have thousands of gorgeous wedding moments from the getting-ready prep, ceremonies, and receptions. Please scroll through my wedding blog for more real weddings over the past decade.
I will try to list locations, as I know engaged couples love my blog for researching wedding venues. I’m not going chronologically this year, so you will see winter weddings mixed with fall and summer.
As always, I’m thrilled to be a wedding photographer as my full-time career. I can’t wait to capture your day!

Trending Wedding Photos
I lean toward classic images with a modern sensibility and avoid jumping on trends. However, the big wedding photography trend in 2023 was blur, allowing me to flex and do something different and interesting for my couples.
Alternative Wedding Venues / Locations
I don’t care if you get married in a grungy alley surrounded by dumpsters; together, we will make beautiful wedding photos. Here are a few “alternative locations” from the past year: breweries, distilleries, boats, backyards, and Lake Michigan.
Barn Weddings
I often photograph weddings at County Line Orchard and White Oak Farm Venue, and this past year was no exception. Here are a few images from Northwest Indiana’s premiere barn wedding venues.
Elegant Indoor Wedding Venues
Don’t get me wrong, your backyard can be luxurious and elegant in my eyes. However, some venues and wedding aesthetics go for that sleek vibe. Here are a few from Medinah Country Club, Tuscany Falls Banquets, The Grand, and more.

Don’t forget to ask about hybrid photo/video coverage when we chat about your wedding day.
