Rebecca and Jack's Beach Wedding Pt. 4 (Masquerade Ball)

When Rebecca returned her Wedding Shot List to me, she wrote a note on the side that said "pictures with and without masks" and I wasn't sure what that meant.  Well, she provided her wedding party and her guests with these masks for her Masquerade Ball themed reception.  Very cool.

Here is her bridesmaid Stephanie posing with her significant other in their masks...

Rebecca and Jack are big fans of these brown toned, sepia images of them dancing.  I am too and I was pleased that they ordered a nice metallic print of the large one below.

Another great thing about Marquette Park Pavilion is the size of the main room.  Perfect for the guests to do a circular dance such as this, with me capturing it from the balcony.

Let there be dancing...

Here is the bride and her Father early in the evening...

I like to break away from all the dancing shots and pull people to the side for some nice portraits. They tend to be at their most relaxed at the reception hall.

I usually create at least one collage for each part of the event (getting ready, formals, ceremony, reception) and here is one utilizing a close up of the wedding cake...

Love Sac Furniture

As a lowly wedding photographer (lol), it's not often I hear compliments on my furniture.  However, as I was scouting shooting locations at the Valparaiso Chapel with my clients Chris and Elise, they mentioned my groovy Lovesac Foam Chair.

They were eying it up when they dropped in to discuss their wedding photography with me.  It's a very young modern look that you might like for your new place together.  Think Bean Bags, but not cheap or cheesy.  I just thought I'd share.  Have a look at what they offer at The Lovesac Website.

Winter Wedding

Want a totally different look for your wedding photography?  Looking to save some money?  Consider booking a winter wedding.  Many vendors offer discounts during the months of December, January and February.

Region Weddings and SBV Photography are offering $50 off a wedding package if you book a date anywhere from December 1st until the last day in February.  This means your wedding falls during this time and not the time of the booking.

Besides the savings, a winter wedding can offer some dramatic black and white images.  Things tend to move a little slow in winter, so let's give plenty of time for formal shots.  We can keep parents and family somewhere warm for group shots and then head outside for some frolicking in the snow couple's shots.  Bride and groom can huddle up in the vehicle while my assistant and I set up the shot.  We'll get you into the scene for some snaps of the shutter and then back in again.  Let's be extra careful of ice as we want you dancing late into the night.

Rub A Dub Dub

If you are staying in town the night of your reception and want to do some really unique shots, consider a few wedding night images.  Okay, I will only stay for a limited amount of time, I swear!!  These could range from the wacky as seen above, to romantic with candles.  It's your call.

I realize that some folks after being photographed all day just want some privacy at this point.  For the rest of you, these could make for some really unique and different shots for your wedding album.  I promise to lock the door on my way out!!
